BSF pushes in 23 Indians

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) pushed 23 Bangla-speaking Indian nationals into Bangladesh territory early yesterday.

BDR (Bangladesh Rifles) sources said the BSF men of Mousia camp pushed nine men, five women and nine children into the country through Poladanga border in Bholahat upazila at about 4:00am.

On information, BDR personnel from Poladanga outpost reached the spot and held the Indians. Admitting the incident, Commander of 28 Rifles Battalion Lt. Col. Zahid said they were trying to push them back.

On Friday night, the Indian border guards pushed 15 people into Bangladesh territory through Gilabari border of the upazila. They were later pushed back.
