BDR pushes back 23 Indians

Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) personnel pushed back 23 Bangla-speaking Indians to their country through Chamusha border under Bholahat Upazila in Chapainawabganj district in the early hours of yesterday.

According to the BDR sources, the Border Security Force (BSF) of India pushed these 23 Indians, including five women and nine children, into Bangladesh through Poladanga border on Monday morning.

Talking to BSS, Lt Col. Zahid, Commanding Officer of the 28th BDR Battalion, said all the BDR outposts along the borders of Chapai-nawabganj, Noagaon and Joypurhat districts have been put on alert to thwart any push-in attempt by the BSF.
