Flash points

No doubt, Soviet Union experienced dire consequences in the aftermath of being divided on 21 Dec. 1991. The UK lost colonial rule in the post WWII period. Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still crying as they cannot blot out the memories of atom bombs being dropped on them. Hitler, the devil-may-care and notorious culprit/warlord pushed the world into the WWII, which claimed millions of lives, a lesson to the world leaders of the then, present and future world. But the present situation of the world is 'of course' worse, although the leaders of the world today know that war cannot bring anything good.

The Iraq situation with suicide bombings, hostage spree, ambuscade and prisoner abuse, Chechen guerrilla revolt, Maoist revolution and democracy issue in Nepal, the unresolved roadmap between Israel and Palestine, disputed Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, obviously show that too many flash points still exist in the world.
