'Neo-Awami Leaguer' mastermind behind Amir's killing: Abbas

Minister for Housing and Public Works Mirza Abbas MP yesterday protested the statement of opposition leader Sheikh Hasina regarding auto-rickshaw driver Amir Hossain, who succumbed to his burn injuries on Wednesday,Amir Hossain suffered burns during hartal hours on May 21. Hasina in a statement on Wednesday said the ruling party in a planned way killed Amir Hossain through its terrorists to tarnish image of the opposition party and misguide the ongoing movement. Mirza Abbas in his statement said AL terrorists killed Amir Hossain in a planned way and a 'neo-Awami Leaguer', who is also a close aide to the opposition leader, was the mastermind behind the killing. Abbas said Hasina and her party AL wanted to create panic among the working class people through the killing of Amir Hossain so that people do not come out of their houses during hartal hours. He said AL wants to go to power trampling the bodies of the toiling masses and Hasina was trying to hide the barbarism shifting the blame on others. Mirza Abbas requested the opposition leader not to encourage the inhuman barbaric acts by issuing such statement.
