Manjoor Rahim new envoy to Germany

The government has decided to appoint AB Manjoor Rahim, currently ambassador to the Union of Myanmar, as ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.A career diplomat of the 1979 batch of the BCS (Foreign Affairs) cadre, AB Manjoor Rahim had his education in the University of Dhaka with BA (Honours) and MA in History. Rahim served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka as well as the Bangladesh missions in Rome, Seoul, Stockholm and Jeddah and the Bangladesh Permanent Mission in New York in various capacities. He has been serving as the ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar since September 2002, says a Foreign Ministry press release.
