Germans have little faith

A majority of Germans believe their country will not win the World Cup it is hosting next year, according to a survey carried out by the Polis Institute which was released on Friday.

While 58 per cent say Jurgen Klinsmann's team have not got a chance, 27 per cent believe his side can add to Germany's three World Cup wins when the tournament begins on June 9 next year.

Klinsmann leads his side into the Confederations Cup, the so-called 'mini-World Cup', next week, which will serve as a dress rehearsal for the real thing next year.
