Close up 1: Tomakey Khujchhey Bangladesh


The most hyped contemporary talent hunt of the country, Close up 1 Tomakey Khunjchhey Bangladesh has kicked off at Rangpur on June 11. Among the 1700 contestants of Rangpur, 150 performers will be selected in the preliminary round. The contestants will be adjudged according to their abilities of presenting a tune aptly, pronunciation, voice modulation and emoting according to the moods of the songs. The contestants must sing Bangla songs only, without any instrumental backups in the primary round (a cappella). After the selection in Rangpur, the next session will be held in Bogra followed by Rajshahi.

About 40,000 contestants will participate in the competition in 11 districts: Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Baarisal, Rangpur, Bogra, Faridpur, Comilla and Mymensingh. There will be two rounds in the preliminary selection: audition and selection rounds. The month long selection process will be telecast soon. The judges in the preliminary rounds will be: Ali Akhbar Rupu, Pronob Ghosh, Ferdous Ara, Labu Rahman, Piaru Khan, Partha Barua, Showkat Ali Imon, Fahmida Nabi, Bappa Majumdar, Selim Ashraf and Anup Barua. The three judges for the final rounds will be Kumar Biswajit, Shakila Zafar and Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul.
