Eastland Ins, CDBL sign agreement
Eastland Insurance Company Limited and Central Depository Bangladesh Ltd (CDBL) yesterday signed an agreement in Dhaka for dematerialisation of share certificates of the company.Under the deal, CDBL will convert the Eastland Insurance share certificates into electronic ones. Eastland Insurance Managing Director A Azmal Haque and CDBL Managing Director and CEO MH Samad signed the deal on behalf of their organisations, says a press release. The conversion of paper shares traded on the stock exchanges through the Central Depository System (CDS) will help eliminate the risk of damage, loss and forgery.
