Simon, son of Abdus Salam, and Miraj, son of Meer Kashem, of East Rasulpur went there with Salam at 10:30am.

Salam was bathing in the stream, while the children were playing along the water's edge. But strong current swept the boys away when they curiously walked into the water, witnesses said.

Salam and locals tried to rescue the children but failed. Divers from the Fire Brigade recovered their bodies at 12:30pm.
