July 14, 2005       Culture Jalbalika: For a good cause Cultural Correspondent On the occasion of the silver jubilee show of Jalbalika, a stage play by Padatik Natya Sangsad, the theatre group has arranged a two-day festival titled Jalbalikar Rajato Jayanti Manchayan Utshab. The play will be staged on July 21-22 at the National Theatre Hall of Shilpakala Academy. The profit from the ticket sales will be donated for the treatment of cancer-affected student Atiqur Rahman Hridoy. On the occasion a special show will be staged for the theatre activist and students on July 22. On the day before the main show of the festival, renowned theatre activists will participate in the inaugural programme.
