Siddiqur Rahman made secy of Finance Div

The government yesterday appointed Md Siddiqur Rahman Chowdhury, the incumbent Commerce Secretary, as Secretary of the Finance Division with immediate effect, according to an official order.He replaces Zakir Ahmed Khan, who completes his three-year term of contractual appointment on July 31. Ministry sources said Zakir Khan is expected to join as the Alternate Director of the World Bank on August 4, replacing Dr Akbar Ali Khan.
