Keraniganj JCD leader killed in factional feud


A Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) leader was killed at Aganagar in Keraniganj yesterday following a feud between two factions of the ruling party student front over establishing supremacy in the area.

The deceased identified as Shaon Ahmed Parvez, 24, owner of a phone-shop and son of Sujat Hossain of Kadamtali village, was the vice-president of Aganagar union JCD.

Police said the criminals stabbed Parvez several times at about 11:ooam at Kadamtali. He was rushed to Mitford hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead.

The conflict between two factions was going on for establishing supremacy over Kadamtali auto-rickshaw stand and underground drug peddling.

A case was lodged with Keraniganj police station in this regard.
