Bodies of 4 Bangladeshis not yet returned

The four dead bodies of Bangladeshis recovered by the Indians on Monday are still at Hashkhali police station in Nadia district of West Bengal.

Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) has sent a letter to the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) inquiring the identity of the bodies on Wednesday.

In reply to the latter BSF asked BDR if they could confirm their nationality as Bangladeshi.

Sector Commander Colonel Didar of BDR told The Daily Star that he could not confirm their nationality, as they were not carrying any passports or identity cards. " As the incident took place 6km inside the Indian border we are going to propose a flag meeting to BSF," he added.
