Inaugurating an old bridge!

The first Karnaphuli bridge "Kalurghat Setu" was built in 1931. Now it is a 74-year old bridge. What is the meaning of inaugurating an old bridge? After recovering some damaged portions of it, it was inaugurated for the second time by the communications minister a few days ago. It is a clear case of fooling the inhabitants of Chittagong, because it was our earnest demand that a third Karnaphuli bridge be built.. The second Karnaphuli bridge "Shah Amanat Setu' has also become hazardous. The big and heavily loaded buses or trucks aren't allowed to pass through these bridges. So, people of South Chittagong have to face many problems like wasting time and risk of accidents. The government should take immediate steps to build the third Karnaphuli bridge which is needed for the benefit of Chittagong people.
