Curran new Zim coach?

Bowling supremo Kevin Curran said here Wednesday he is replacing West Indian Phil Simmons as Zimbabwe's cricket coach after a disatrous year for the team.

Curran said he was appointed on Tuesday. He is a popular Zimbabwe former player and his tenure will be well received by the Zimbabwe-contracted players.

He said he planned to organise practise games ahead of the one-day series, which begins in Bulawayo involving Zimbabwe, India and New Zealand next Wednesday.
