Ruta concerned over continued death threat

Rajshahi University Teacher Association (Ruta) yesterday in an executive committee meeting expressed concern over continued death threats to the teachers through telephones and letters.They said unknown callers recently threatened former proctor and science faculty dean Prof Nurul Abser, Lecturer GM Shafiur Rahman of materials science department and Lecturer Ataur Rahman of language department. As a result of threats, many teachers cannot move freely on the campus, they said. They demanded immediate arrest of and exemplary punishment to the criminals. Ruta General Secretary Prof Dr Abdul Hai Talukder conducted the meeting.
