Three Khulna journos get death threat

Three journalists of Khulna yesterday received death threats allegedly from an extremist.The three journalists are Shaikh Abu Hasan, president of Khulna Press Club and Khulna bureau chief of the daily Prothom Alo, Liaquat Ali, editor of the daily Purbanchal and Rafiul Islam Tutul, Khulna correspondent of The News Today. The three journalists received three computer composed letters at around 7:30pm at Khulna Press Club sent by one Mahmud Hasan in which they were threatened with death for playing vital role in journalist Belaluddin murder case. The Press Club president was also warned not to expel daily Lokshamaj Khulna Bureau Chief Tayeb Munshi from the Press Club because of his suspected involvement in the murder of Belaluddin. Secretary of Khulna Press Club Faruk Ahmed has demanded immediate probe into the incident.
