2 spice shops looted in city


Two spice shops were looted by robbers in the city in the early hours of yesterday.

A gang of robbers broke into Al-Amin Traders and Anwar Enterprise at Lalbagh at 3:00am and held the staff as hostage.

They took away cash and spices worth about Tk 2.45 lakh and stabbed two staffs before leaving the place.

The injured staffs are Abdur Razzak, 50, and Mohammad Yunus, 40, of Anwar Enterprise.

Motiur Rahman, owner of Al-Amin Traders, filed a case with Lalbagh Police Station in this connection.

Police could not recover anything as of filing this report at 8:00pm.
