3 arrested with 1100 grams of heroin in Ctg

The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC), metro region, seized more than one kilogram of heroin worth about Tk 1.25 crore and arrested three people, including one woman, from Battali in Anwara upazila yesterday. Acting on tip-off, a team of the DNC raided the house of Mohammad Kadem and seized heroin. The team in cooperation with the Anwara police recovered 1100 grams of heroin wrapped in a number of small packets. DNC men arrested Abu Naser Chowdhury (Badal), Arju Begum and Mohammad Kamal, son of the landlord in this connection. The arrested were taken to the zone office at city's Sadarghat area for further interrogation.
