Govt has failed in every sector: B Chowdhury

The four-party alliance government has presented the nation with bomb and grenade attacks, widespread corruption and price spirals of essentials, said AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury, president of Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB), yesterday.The government has failed in every sector, he said, adding that it even could not make any headway in the probe into the August 17 bomb attacks although 10 days have passed since the incident. He alleged that the government has encouraged the terrorists to kill people through bomb and grenade attacks. People are now totally frustrated and want to get rid of this government, said the former president. The BDB chief was addressing the newcomers at a programme at the party office at Segun Bagicha in the city. BNP leader Sabina Yasmin and Awami League leader Dilruba Yasmin, both from Kafrul area, along with their followers joined the BDB at the programme. Leaders of BDB and its front organisations Dr Nurul Amin Bepari, Shah Ahmed Badal, Azizur Rahman Akhand, Jahangir Alam Biplab, Hafizur Rahman and Altaf Hossain also spoke.
