A helpless parents have appealed to the generous people for financial assistance for the treatment of their son.Golam Kibria Ziko, 18, has been suffering from blood cancer since last July. A laboratory blood test at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University and Hospital has detected that Ziko has been suffering from leukemia, a dreadful disease of the red blood cells. A costly bone marrow transplantation is the only means that can save his life. Doctors said an estimated Tk 40 lakh is required for the transplantation. Ziko, a college student, lives with his retired father Md Golam Rabbani in Sherpur district.
