Edexcel to train up vocational students
Staff Correspondent adds: Edexcel will open an institution in the city in October to train up students of vocational studies.This was announced by Edexcel Global Director Rick Firth at a press conference at Hotel Sheraton yesterday. He said it will introduce a new vocational curriculum in some selected private educational establishments with a plan to expand it to public institutions. Rick said Edexcel has a long-term commitment to Bangladesh and therefore it wants to introduce this new curriculum which would help graduates enter into the job markets. He said the institution will offer unique online training services by trained vocational experts. Edexcel has also a plan to offer a Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) degree to graduates of vocational studies.
