President for raising literacy rate

President Iajuddin Ahmed yesterday stressed the need for increasing literacy rate to turn the huge population into human resources to keep pace with the developed countries. He said this when a delegation of Mirkadim Pourasava made a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban. The delegation appraised him of various activities and problems of the pourasava, and the president assured them of all possible cooperation in solving the problems. Chairman of Mirkadim Pourasava M Hossain Renu, Commissioner Sanwara Begum, M Giasuddin Ahmed, Mofizur Rahman Inu, Abdul Majid, M Masud Islam, M Mortuz Ali Hira, Dr MA Malek, Haji M Shawkat Ali and M Mohiuddin Mollah were among the delegation members.
