Obscene films

While I was waiting at a bus stand , I noticed that there were about 20 men in a tea stall watching a cable TV English language movie. I found this interesting as the movie was in English with no Bengali subtitles - but all of the men were still very interested in the movie. After watching for a few minutes it became apparent what was so interesting about this movie. The fact is that this movie was full of scenes that are totally inappropriate for and unacceptable to Bangladeshi culture. The movie was being shown in a public place at 8:00 in the morning. It was embarrassing to me that this type of vile entertainment has become common in Bangladesh.

I call on the cable operators to refrain from showing such things.
