Bangladesh fair in Kathmandu begins Sept 29

Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) will jointly organise a five-day Bangladesh single country fair in Kathmandu beginning on September 29. Official sources said the exposition, which will display a wide range of Bangladeshi products, aims to strengthen trade ties between Bangladesh and Nepal. Some 51 business firms and organisations will take part in the September 29-October 3 event. Some 55 stalls will be set up in the single country fair, which will be divided into three sections-- trade, tourism and education. Officials said handicraft, garment, artificial jewellery, medicine, leather goods, cement, and jute products will be the major products to be showcased in the fair. Vice Chairman of Council of Ministers of Nepal Kirti Nidhi Bista and Bangladesh Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Choudhury will jointly inaugurate the fair. A business delegation from Bangladesh will also accompany the commerce minister.
