DHL Asia Pacific CEO due today
Scott Price, chief executive officer of DHL Express (Asia Pacific), will arrive in Dhaka today on a three-day official visit, says a press release.

This is the first visit by Price to Bangladesh after he took over in December 2004. This visit is part of Price's tour of the South Asian countries of Bangladesh and Pakistan.

During his visit, Price will meet government officials to discuss the scope of developing the DHL business further in Bangladesh. In the meetings, he is likely to share the experience of customs' reforms and cargo handling functions of different countries across Asia Pacific and discuss probable ways of maximising the cargo handling facility at Zia International Airport.

He will also launch the company's corporate social responsibility programme in Bangladesh, which focuses on enhancing underprivileged children's education.

Prior to assuming his present role, Price was the president of DHL Express Japan and a member of the DHL Asia Pacific Management Board, which he now chairs.

Price joined DHL from the Coca-Cola Company.
