Mobile phone operator Banglalink yesterday launched 'i'bubble', a voice message service for its subscribers.

From now on all Banglalink subscribers will be able to record a voice message and send it to any mobile phone. But only Banglalink subscribers will be able to reply the voice message.

The rate for i'bubble has been fixed at Tk 3 per message. But no amount will be charged for receiving the voice message.

Banglalink Chief Operating Officer (CEO) Lars P Reichelt announced the new Banglalink product, the first of its kind in Bangladesh, at a press conference in Dhaka. Mehboob Chowdhury, chief commercial officer (CCO) of the company was, also present.

In i`bubble, a subscriber will have to dial 99, followed by the mobile phone number to which the voice message will be sent. Then the subscriber will record the voice message and send it. The subscriber will get 30 seconds to record the voice message, said the Banglalink CEO.

The service will soon allow the voice message to be recorded and sent with background music, karaoke and special sound effects, he added.

"i`bubble is another big step in our quest to make mobile technology simpler, more accessible and useful to our subscriber. It will also save the valued time of a subscriber, keeping him from writing messages," Reichelt told the meet.
