45 injured in JCD-BCL clash in Sirajganj

At least 45 people were injured, three of them seriously, in a clash between the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and Bangladesh Chhatra league (BCL) on the Sirajganj Degree College campus yesterday.The clash erupted at around 12:00 noon when JCD activists launched an attack on a meeting of the BCL, police said. Five houses and six shops were also damaged in the area during the clash, which continued for about one hour. Later, police brought the situation under control. The critically injured -- JCD activist Habib and BCL activists Jehad and Sajol -- were admitted to Sirajganj General hospital.
