As per the decision made at a meeting of the Academic Council on Wednesday night, a student who has passed the HSC this year with a minimum GPA of 4.50 with Physics Chemistry, Mathematics and English can compete for BUET admission if his GPA in SSC is at least 4.0. But a student having a grade point less than 3.0 in any of the four subjects in his HSC examination will not be eligible for the test.

This year separate forms of 'Ka' and 'Kha' unit will be available by Tk 500 while combined forms of 'Ka and Kha' unit can also be collected by Tk 700. 'Ka' unit includes Urban and Regional Planning (URP) and all the subjects under engineering departments while 'Kha' unit is for the students who intend to study Architecture.

Last date for collection and submission of forms is October 20.

List of the eligible candidates will be published on October 26 and the test will be held on November 10.
