2-day transport strike in Magura from tomorrow

The Transport Owners' Association has called a two-day strike beginning in Magura tomorrow.

The association called the strike at a meeting yesterday in protest against toll collection by the district leaders of Transport Workers Union from trucks and other vehicles.

The union leaders have been collecting tolls ranging from Tk 1,000 to Tk 1,500 from trucks carrying cattle and fish fry, said a press release of the association.

The group is also collecting Tk 10 to Tk 15 from each passenger bus in the name of workers' welfare.
