The Bangladesh Bar Council disclosed this yesterday on the basis of news published in 11 daily newspapers of the country.

Human rights violation incidents are: killing- 2469 including 285 crossfire's, suicide-464, rape-163, gang rape- 152, child rape-118, killing after rape -53, domestic violence-43, killing for dowry- 143, victims of oppression for dowry-66, killing by husband-108, victims of fatwa-31, kidnapping-389, acid burn -175, killings from bomb attack- 20, injuries- 778 bomb attacks, bomb attacks threat-10, political killing-59 and oppression of journalist -255.

Of them, one journalist was killed, 120 were injured, four kidnapped, 45 humiliated and cases filed against 85 journalists during the period.
