Trial of killers of Ittefaq worker demanded


Bangladesh Federal Union of Newspaper Press Workers (BFUNPW) yesterday demanded trial of the killers of Ittefaq press worker Kamaluddin.

At a meeting of the BFUNPW at Ittefaq office in the city, the workers expressed deep concern at the brutal killing of Kamaluddin, who was murdered inside the machine room of the Daily while he was on duty at night.

The workers, in another resolution, demanded immediate announcement of 60 per cent dearness allowances for the newspaper men.

Federal Union executive members, The Daily Star, BSS, Independent, Sangram, Dinkal, New Nation, Ittefaq and Al Mujadded press union leaders spoke.

Federal Union President Fazle Imam presided over the meeting.
