The Daily Jugantor photojournalist Nazrul Islam Zulu was beaten with iron rods for taking snaps of a clash between two JCD factions in front of Sher-e-Bangla Hall.

They also held a protest rally and brought out a procession on the campus.

Speakers urged the university authorities to make public a report of the probe committee formed to investigate alleged repression on journalists by JCD activists.

They threatened to go for a greater movement if their demands are not met immediately.

Among others, Rajshahi Photojournalists' Association president Asaduzzman Asad, general secretary Zabid Apu, Prothom Alo photojournalist Azhar Uddin, Janakantho photojournalist Salim Zahangir, Sangbad newsman Jahangir Alam Akas, Inkilab newsman Rakibul Islam and The Daily Star journalist Abu Kalam addressed the rally.
