Garments unit closed at Comilla EPZ

A Chainese garments factory--Yangtai Industries (BD) Ltd-in Comilla Export Processing Zone (EPZ) is closed since Monday over an alleged labour dispute.A closure notice was hung at the gate of the factory on that day, sources said. When contacted, the Comilla EPZ authorities however said a tripartite meeting involving workers, factory owners and the EPZ Authority was held and the unit may resume production soon.
