Janajuddho leader held in Khulna

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested a regional leader of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) Janajuddho faction Gazi Iqbal Hossain alias Khuni Iqbal on Tuesday noon near Metropolitan clinic at Musalmanpara in Khulna.According to a press release issued by Rab, the arrested outlaw is a regional leader of Rampal upazila unit of Janajuddho in Bagerhat. Rab also recovered a pipe gun and three live gun cartridges from the kitchen of his village home at Baintala under the same upazila on Tuesday night. Outlaw Gazi Iqbal is an illegal arms trader and an accused in several criminal and murder cases filed with Rampal Police Station, the press release added. He was handed over to Rampal police, it said.
