Why government has to subsidise pilgrims for Hajj? Isn't it the edict of the Quran that Hajj becomes compulsory when one can afford to perform it with one's own resource after fulfilling all other obligations? The plain fact is-- if you cannot afford the regular airfare then Hajj is not compulsory (Farj) for you. Unfortunately neither government nor the media is pointing out this fact.
