Prof Yunus, his daughters visit CU

Prof Muhammad Yunus, managing director of Grameen Bank and a former teacher of Chittagong University (CU), along with his wife and two daughters, Monica and Dina, visited the university yesterday.Teachers, staffs and students of the university gave them a warm reception when they arrived at around 11:00am. Prof Yunus and his family members went around to the economics department, CU museum and other faculty buildings. They also visited Zobra village, where he first launched the activities of the Grameen Bank. Later, they met CU Vice-Chancellor Prof AJM Nuruddin Chowdhury at his office. Prof Ibrahim of Dhaka University, Dr Kazi Ahmad Nabi, Prof Sekander Khan, Prof Moniruzzaman and officials of the Grameen Bank were also present.
