2 killed in city road mishaps


Two people including a schoolboy were killed in two separate road accidents in the city yesterday.

Rezaul Karim, 17, a student of class ten of Rajibpur High School in Manikganj, was hit by a running truck at 8:30 am while he was crossing the road after visiting his sister's house at Kawla with his cousin, said cousin Rabiul.

In another incident, a running truck from opposite direction hit Mohammad Ali, 55, a banana vendor at Mohammadpur dam area, when he was going to buy banana at Karwan Bazaar early in the morning.

He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Medical Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctor declared him dead.
