Death of Udichi activist in Netrakona blast protested

The district unit of Udichi yesterday observed a token hunger strike in front of Patuakhali Press Club protesting killing of a fellow cultural activist in Netrokona and the country-wide bomb blasts by the Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).

Over 50 Udichi activists and other organisations took part in the two-hour hunger strike which began at 10 am and ended at 12 noon.

A meeting was also held at the venue. Udichi president Gazi Moinuddin Tarzan presided over the meeting.

Terming the outlawed JMB as national enemy, speakers urged the authorities concerned to take necessary steps to stop bomb blasts without further delay.
