JCD expels 5 DU leaders

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), student wing of the ruling BNP, yesterday expelled five of its Dhaka University leaders for their involvement in anti-organisational activities on the campus.The expelled leaders are Maniruzzaman Rezin, Anisur Rahman, Kazi Muktar Hossain, Ikhtiar Kabir and Mahbubur Rahman Palash. The JCD President Azizul Baree Helal and General Secretary Shafiul Bari Babu approved the decision. They took the decision following an intra-party clash on the DU campus on December 20 leaving 25 JCD leaders and workers injured.
