16 tons of wheat seeds seized

Police seized 16 tons of wheat seeds worth Tk 5 lakh while being sold at Nitaiganj in Narayanganj. The seeds were supposed to be sold at fair prices to the peasants through Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation. Acting on a tip off, Detective Branch of Narayanganj Police raided the place last night and seized the seeds. Police also arrested BADC's Kishoreganj-Netrokona regional dealer Ataur Rahman, 41.
