Pawar to take over as ACC chief Jan 4

Chief of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sharad Pawar will take over as president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) from January 4, 2006.Pawar was made the ACC president-designate after Jagmohan Dalmiya stepped down after the recent BCCI elections. "Pawar will officially take over on January 4, 2006 at a ACC meet to be held in Delhi," BCCI's executive-in-charge Ratnakar Shetty said here on Thursday.
