Mourinho awaits wife's permission

Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho will only watch the Barclays Premiership showdown between Manchester United and Arsenal if his wife gives him permission!

The Portuguese coach watched his side go 14 points clear at the top of the league but then confessed that while he would love to watch the big match it depended entirely on whether his wife had other plans for him.

Chelsea increased their stranglehold on the Premiership thanks to a 3-1 victory over West Ham at Upton Park.

Mourinho was given an added bonus when Liverpool could only draw with Bolton - but he still did not know whether he would be allowed to watch the United game.

"It all depends on my wife," he conceded. "If I am at home, yes, I will see it. But maybe my wife would like to go somewhere.

"I would like to see it - I like to see football and it is a big game. But maybe I will have no permission.
