DUJ New Nation unit election held

M Hemayet Hossain and M Sahidul Islam were elected unit chief and deputy unit chief of the New Nation Unit of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ). Golam Haider, assistant editor of The New Nation, conducted the election as chief election commissioner. Earlier, the biennial meeting of the unit, was held at its newsroom with outgoing unit chief Syed Afzal Hossain in the chair. Sheikh Mohiuddin, Khondaker Abdur Razzaq, Syed Zahirul Abedin, Sushil Chowdhury, ATM Nurun Nabi, M Nasiruddin and M Rafiqul Islam Azad spoke at the meeting.
