The housewife Yasmin Akhter Beauty said, "Sabuj and I stabbed Delwar in the chest and back as he used to beat me after he came to know about my extramarital affair with Sabuj.

Beauty confessed to Magistrate Nani Gopal Biswas under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code that her husband often beat her after he found her with Sabuj in objectionable conditions inside their house around six months back.

Beauty said she left the house with Sabuj but came back three days later as their relatives mediated a deal between her and Delwar.

"On Eid day, Delwar again beat me mercilessly, and as a result Sabuj and I planned to kill him that night," Beauty admitted.

As per the plan, Sabuj came with a knife at 10:00pm on Wednesday and was hiding under the bed.

When Delwar fell asleep, Beauty and Sabuj stabbed him in the chest and back at around 3:30am on Thursday killing him on the spot.

After the incident Sabuj went to the rooftop and climbed down through a pipe as the collapsible gate of the house was closed.

Later Beauty woke her elder son Amit up and asked him to tell the neighbours that three people came to kill his father.

Sabuj has been absconding since the incident.

KAMRANGIRCHAR INCIDENT
Badal, a rickshaw-puller, told the magistrate that he and his lover Rahima Begum killed her infant daughter Purnima who suddenly appeared in the room when they were engaged in immoral activities after Maghrib prayers.

"We pressed her throat and hit her head against a wall. As she died on the spot we dumped the body under sand at Balurmath," Badal told the magistrate.

Police recovered the body a day later when the locals informed them after finding fingers of the slain girl.

Police held Rahima after the incident and arrested Badal from Kishoreganj following leads from Rahima.
