Ministers pass day exchanging greetings

BNP Secretary General and LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan yesterday said despite some inconveniences due to cold wave and dense fog, the people of the country celebrated the holy Eid-ul-Azha with usual enthusiasm and religious fervour.He said this while exchanging Eid greetings with the officials and employees of his ministry as well as journalists and party leaders at his secretariat office yesterday, the first working day after the Eid-ul-Azha and weekly holidays. Mannan Bhuiyan came to the office at 10:15am and stayed there till 1:45pm. Information Minister M Shamsul Islam, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Abdullah Al-Noman, Housing and Public Works Minister Mirza Abbas, Chief Whip Khondokar Delwar Hossain, State Minister for Housing and Public Works Alamgir Kabir and State Minister for Land Ukil Abdus Satter exchanged Eid greetings with Mannan Bhuiyan at his office. Mannan Bhuiyan expressed deep shock and sorrow at the tragic accident in Mina, Saudi Arabia. He expressed sympathy to the members of Hajis who were killed in the stampede. Finance Minister M Saifur Rahman, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Khondakar Mosharraf Hossain, Education Minister Dr M Osman Farruk, and Commerce Minister Altaf Hossain Chowdhury were present in their respective offices yesterday. They exchanged Eid greetings with the officials and employees of their ministries and concerned departments.
