Drugs worth Tk 2.42 lakh seized

Detective Branch (DB) of Police seized drugs worth Tk 2.42 lakh at Bishnupur under Devidwar upazila of Comilla district yesterday. The drugs have been smuggled from India. Acting on a tip-off, police recovered two abandoned drug-laden vans from Gumti cross dam area at Bishnupur. It said, 421 bottles of Phensidyl syrup, 40 bottles of Beer, 40 bottles of Whisky were seized from the vans.
