Farmer killed by stepbrothers in Khulna

A farmer was hacked to death by his stepbrothers at Adampur village under Terokheda upazila of Khulna district yesterday.The victim was identified as Moka Fakir, 55. Moka Fakir was murdered during a quarrel over harvesting of paddy in the same village, police said. Lekjan Fakir, 46, wife of slain Moka Fakir, was also severely injured during the clash. She is undergoing treatment at the Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH). Police said Khoka Fakir, Imran Fakir and Nazrul Fakir are stepbrothers of Moka Fakir. They left the spot immediately after the murder.
