Two get life for killing one in Sylhet

A Speedy Trial Tribunal here on Wednesday sentenced two people to life imprisonment in a murder case.The convicts were identified as Shalik Miah, 35, and Koyes Miah, 40. According to the prosecution, the convicts killed Jamiruddin as a sequel to a previous enmity at Ramdhana Kararpar village in Bishwanath Upazila on November 10, 2000. After examining records and witnesses, Judge Biplob Goswami handed down the verdict. The court acquitted three other accused as allegations brought against them could not be proved.
