About 12 sectors of the BDR are expected to take part in the meet. Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet, Comilla, Kushtia, Mymensing, Rangpur, Chittagong, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and hosts Dinajpur have already confirmed their participation.

BDR's national athletics team will be formed on the basis of the performances in this competition.

Sector Commander of Dinajpur 15 Sector Battalion Col Quazi Kaisar Uddin will inaugurate the meet.
